How to become a Club Penguin tour guide

Here’s our step-by-step guide to becoming a tour guide on Club Penguin.

As a tour guide, you can lead penguins on excursions around the island, pointing out interesting and unusual facts about Club Penguin. Plus, you get to wear a stylish hat!

1. Head to the Ski Village.

2. Click the Tours booth to begin:

3. Now, click the bottom of the Take A Tour sign:

4. Next, click the Take the Quiz button:

5. To pass the quiz and become a tour guide, correctly answer seven of the eight questions.

The questions may be different each time you take the quiz. You will be asked only eight out of these following fourteen questions:

How does the pink puffle play?

How do you get a pin?

• Walk on top of it

How many coins does it cost to buy a player card background?

• 60

How many Sled Racing tracks are there?

• 4

In what room can you find old copies of the Penguin Times?

Congratulations! You can now show new visitors to Club Penguin around.

To display the “Tours Here” sign, wave. To give a tour, select Messages > Activities > Give a tour.

The Water Hunt scavenger hunt

Club Penguin started a Water Hunt scavenger hunt today.

Click the bucket in the top-right corner to get started hunting for treasure:

You need to collect eight water-related items:

1. For the first—at a food stand—go to the Ice Rink/Stadium:

2. For the second—at a java sack—go to the Coffee Shop:

3. For the third—a bowl with a golden fish—go to the Pet Shop:

4. For the fourth—a place you go to surf—go to the Cove:

5. For the fifth—a place you go to read a book—go to the Library above the Coffee Shop:

6. For the sixth—the place that has Thin Ice—go to the Dance Lounge above the Night Club:

7. For the seventh—a place you’d land a ship—go to the Beach:

8. For the eighth—a fish that’s in the air—go to the Dojo:

Claim your prize at the end:

Be sure to get your free Bucket Hat at the Snow Forts:

The Halloween candy scavenger hunt

The Halloween party has started!

Click the jack-o’-lantern in the upper-right corner to get started:

You need to collect eight treats:

When you click  a treat, you see a hint for where to find it:

1. For the first one—Where the starfish lay—go to the Beach:

2. For the second—overlooking a snowball fight—go to the Snow Forts:

3. For the third—near glowing light—go to the Iceberg:

4. For the fourth—flip your wig—go to the gift shop:

5. For the fifth—a spooky instrument—go to the Pizza Parlor:

6. For the sixth—a ninja shadow—go to the Ski Lodge and click the mirror:

7. For the seventh—improve the flavor of the brew—go to the Plaza:

8. For the eighth—largest pumpkin on the isle—go to the Beacon:

For your treat, you get a scavenger stamp and can claim your prize: a new background.

Sub-Marine Party starts!

BREAKING NEWS: BillyBob said today that Gary the Gadget Guy’s invention on the Iceberg will be a new game. He said we will find out more early next week.

Today the Sub-Marine Party begins! The underwater party is to celebrate Club Penguin’s attempt to save Rockhopper’s ship the Migrator.

The new pin is at the cove. Walk out in the tide pool to the rock to get the anchor.

A Seashell Belt free item is in a box In the Library above the Coffee Shop.

A Yellow Snorkel free item is in a treasure chest In the Forest.

Click the oyster in the middle of the Forest to see a pink puffle. Also click the stuffed fish in the big shell to make it change colors.

The Nightclub is a sunken submarine. I love it! In the Lounge above the dance floor is the control room of the submarine. Click the big red button on the control panel to sound the alarm.

I like how CP decorated the Nightclub the best. But I like the Coffee Shop and the Lighthouse Tower too.

The party will run from February 15 to 20.

Aunt Arctic said in the newspaper that a new year book from Snowball Press may be on the way. Watch the shelves up in the Library for the new book.

In other news, Gary the Gadget Guys said he is almost done building the submarine that he will use to recover the Migrator. He said he will take the first dive to Rockhopper’s sunken ship on February 19. You can see the nearly completed sub on the Iceberg. I wonder if it will be a new game?

Go to the Iceberg today to vote for a name for G’s vehicle.

The free Miner’s Hat is still on the Iceberg too.

New play, and G is building his device on the iceberg

Whoa! What a busy day!

The new play is out today. It is called “Team Blue’s Rally Debut.” The play is of a mascot tryout, the stage is a gym, and the costumes are for the mascots and judges.

Over on the iceberg, you can see what Gary the Gadget Guy’s is buidling to bring up the Migrator. His device looks like a small submarine with an arm for grabbing the pieces of the wrecked Migrator. He is also building a pier or something beside the iceberg.

On the left of the iceberg is a box of free miner’s helmets, so everyone can help G. Put on just the Miner’s Helmet and then dance to drill with a jackhammer (just like the Hardhat does).

Finallly, there are three new postcards.

One for Jet Pack Adventure:

One for asking a penguin to be your buddy:

And an invitation to meet on the ski hill:

Save the Migrator Project starts, new clothing catalog, new pin

BREAKING NEWS: BillyBob says we are not done helping Rockhopper and a lot will happen this month.

Check out the beach today. Rockhopper is gone but a “Save the Migrator Project” stand is by the lighthouse. There is a question mark pointing to something on the plans. Is the plan to move the Migrator back to Rockhopper Island?

If you look through the telescope by the beacon on the lighthouse, you can see Rockhopper and Yarr rowing away.

The new pin is in the lighthouse, on the wall by the stairs, under Rockhopper’s portrait.

The new clothing catalog is out today too.

Click the medal on the White Admiral Jacket to buy the the Green Snorkel hidden item.

Click the Buy tag on the constructor worker’s hat to buy the Hardhat.

Click the Buy tag on the construction worker’s vest to buy the Safety Vest.

Put on the Hardhat and dance to drill with a jackhammer!

Click the Russian Hat once to get the Viking Helmet hidden item. Click the Russian Hat four times to get the Blue Viking Helmet hidden item.

There are also some new player card backgrounds.

Rockhopper’s rowboat and Yarr at the beach

BREAKING NEWS: BillyBob said Rockhopper is on the island, and he will give penguins something if they ask to be his buddy. Is this something different from the Rockhopper card background he usually gives out? If we find him, we’ll let you know. If you see him, tell us what he is giving out!

Rockhopper’s rowboat is beached by the lighthouse!

Yarr is on the rowboat but there is no sign of Rockhopper.

On the rowboat is a free item: A life vest. Walk on the box of life vests to add the item to your inventory.

Rockhopper and Yarr had to escape in the rowboat after the Migrator crashed.

You can see the Migrator in the telescope on the lighthouse.

Does this mean Rockhopper is somewhere on the island? I looked everywhere but didn’t see him.

And in the lighthouse now, the old “Ocean Voyage” music is playing again. Not the music from the Fall Fair.

The Winter Fiesta-Val is here!

Hola!

The whole island is decorated for the winter fiesta, with pinatas, balloons, banners, cacti, and planters everywhere.

The free maracas are in the dance lounge:

The free pin is a sombrero. It is in the forest in the donkey pinata:

Swing twice at the donkey pinata with your cursor, and the pinata bursts open and the sombrero pin falls out:

A churros and ice cream stand is also in the forest. A taco stand is by the lighthouse.

The dock is decorated like a plaza, with a dance area. The dance club is decorated like a Mexican pyramid.

I wish the pizza shop had chips and salsa!

Oh, wait! The chips and salsa are in the coffee shop! 😀

I think the coffee shop is my favorite fiesta room.

The fiesta goes January 18 to 20.

Fiesta party preview

Billy Bob showed a preview of the Fiesta party that starts this Friday and goes to Monday.

Mmmmm … Churros!

He also said there would be a free item at the party.
