‘I blog, much of the night, and go south in the winter.’

1 12 2023

On the Ski Hill, there you feel free.

Who said “Winter kept us warm?” I’m cold. I clutch my teacup and wait for spring.

‘… It’s gonna last you for the rest of your life.’

18 12 2022

Around the middle December, when it chilly and gloomy, I think of that line from “Groundhog Day,” where Bill Murray’s character offers a winter prediction. But Winter Solstice is just a few days away, and it will get warmer and brighter soon. Through the winter, I’m thankful for Club Penguin. Happy Holidays from cold and bundled up staff at the Abominable Times!

‘I’ll be home for …’

6 12 2021

Didn’t we just do this? It still doesn’t snow on our blog. And we’re still sticking close to our igloo. But we’re staying safe and thankful for Club Penguin.

Happy Holidays from the fully boosted, frost-covered Abominable Times!

Blogging in place

13 12 2020

We’re following stay-at-igloo orders here on Abominable Times. While we’re still bitter it no longer snows on our blog, we are thankful we have Club Penguin.

Happy Holidays from the masked-up, igloo-bound Abominable Times!

“One must have a blog of winter …”

1 12 2019

It is still not snowing on our blog. And that bothers me more than it should.

But we can still play Club Penguin! So Happy Holidays from the snowbound Abominable Times!

“It’s gonna be cold, it’s gonna be gray …”

5 12 2018

Through it all—through Club Penguin’s going away, through Club Penguin Island’s closing down, through fires and hurricanes and civil unrest—I knew I could look forward to one thing this year: Our WordPress blog snowing in December.

But, but … our blog is not snowing. Please don’t tell me it will be like this for the rest of my life.

Winter is coming.

1 12 2017

Club Penguin is gone, but it still snows on our CP blog! This is, truly, the most wonderful time of the year.

We wrote our first blog post in 2007, but in 2017 I’m overly excited about how WordPress make our blog snow in December. Go figure.

Happy holidays from the frozen ponds of The Abominable Times!
